Centering Prayer Saturdays
Come, Sit, Be in Silence: In the Presence of God Beyond Words
Time & Location
Mar 25, 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM CDT
About the Event
You're invited to join us for Centering Prayer, every Saturday morning. In this contemplative practice from the Christian tradition, we sit silently in the presence of the Great Mystery – God, or Spirit as you understand and experience it. The group is open to spiritual seekers of all faiths and spiritual orientations. Centering Prayer is a way of praying that leads in time to the experience of contemplative prayer, a resting in God beyond thoughts and words. It is similar in some ways to Eastern meditation forms such as mindfulness meditation but is set in a Christian context. This group has an interspiritual orientation and is open to all. We invite you to enter the Divine Presence with us.
