Discover what makes you come alive while overthrowing a despotic ruler. Learn about yourself while crawling through a dank cave in search of exotic ingredients for a powerful spell. See the interconnectedness of all things while traveling between dimensions in search of a lost hero.

Spiritual Discovery Dungeons & Dragons! You may have heard of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), a role playing game (RPG) played around a table with a group of 3-5 others, rolling dice and eating cheese puffs. Imagine you are a crafty wizard, tenacious warrior, or mysterious ranger (like Aragorn in Lord of the Rings). Now you can go on such adventures while engaging in spiritual growth, exploration, and healing.
Players are invited to make a character that addresses some of their big questions about life, the universe, and everything. Want to explore what it could be like to serve the Divine? Want to be big and blustery when you are normally quiet and reserved, or vice versa? Want to come from a village where everyone is encouraged to be exactly who they are? You can.
Games will be 6 sessions, meeting every other week on Zoom, in groups of 5-6 players. Each player receives an hour of 1:1 spiritual direction with the Dungeon Master (DM), a certified spiritual director, every 2 sessions. In addition each player will meet for an hour with the DM prior to the first session to make their character. During the 1:1 sessions players may process how the game is for them and any other spiritually related aspect of their lives.
In summary, there will be 6 3hr game sessions, every other week + 3 1 hour 1:1 spiritual direction sessions + 1 1 hour character creation session.

No D&D experience required. Players of all spiritual paths or none are welcome. 18 and older. All players will need access to the 5th edition D&D Player’s Handbook. Players may re-enroll for further campaigns.
About the Dungeon Master: Menachem Cohen is a certified spiritual director, tabletop game designer, and rabbi who has played D&D and other RPGs since 1979. He has learned a lot about himself while playing these games, which led him to extensive research into the design and use of games for spiritual work. Most important, he is a dad.
